Volunteering

Washington County Library offers volunteer opportunities for teens and adults. By sharing their time, interests, and abilities, Washington County Library volunteers can make meaningful contributions to the library, the community, and their own lives.

Due to its upcoming closure for construction, Park Grove Library is not accepting volunteers.

To learn about volunteer opportunities, contact the branch where you are interested in volunteering. Volunteers must be 14 years of age or older.

Volunteer Tasks

Your tasks at the library will be developed with your branch's volunteer coordinator based on the library's needs and your interests and abilities. Example volunteer tasks include:

  • Keeping the collection organized
  • Assisting with library events and programs
  • Keeping the library tidy and presentable
  • Making library customers' visits welcoming and successful
  • Conducting in-library surveys
