By Minnesota law, the information you provide when applying for a library card, as well as information that links your name with library materials, is private. Only your name is public information. The information you supply to us is only available to you and to appropriate library personnel in order to support library services. This information is not available to the general public without your written permission or a court order.
If you are under age 18, information about materials requested, checked out, or kept overdue is available to your parent or guardian. You may ask to have this information withheld by filling out a data privacy request form. However, we can only withhold this data from your parents if it is determined to be in your best interest to do so.
