Beginning this month, Washington County Library is offering an updated selection of online tools through Minitex and the eLibrary of Minnesota (ELM).

This update includes two exciting new online tools for kids from Capstone, a trusted children’s publisher of books and other educational materials. The new new tools are:

  • PebbleGo: Animals and Biographies is designed for kids from pre-K-3, who can search for resources on animals and biographies. PebbleGo makes learning fun and teaches reading and research skills through the use of read along audio, video, and educational games.
  • PebbleGo Next: States and Native American Studies allows kids in grades 3-6 to search for resources on US states and Native American history. Learn more with multimedia resources like videos, state songs and regional recipes.

Three existing databases have also been expanded:

Beginning July 1, we are no longer offering the following resources:

  • Academic OneFile Select
  • Educator’s Reference Complete
  • Kids InfoBits
  • Informe Académico
  • Leadership and Management
  • Science (Gale OneFile)

If you were a regular user of one of these databases, reach out to a Washington County librarian for assistance finding a replacement.
