Star Wars Family Night May 3 in Woodbury

Celebrate everyone’s favorite galactic saga after hours at R.H. Stafford Library’s Star Wars Family Night on Friday, May 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. Costumes are strongly encouraged!

Kick off the event at 6:05 p.m. in the Central Park Amphitheater with a special performance by the Middleton and Pine Hill Elementary School bands. Then, head into the library to train with other padawans in the Kid’s Area and tinker like Anakin Skywalker in our Create Space. The Math and Science Academy and East Ridge High School’s robotics teams will also be there to show off their real-life droids.

Families are invited to stop by anytime between 6 and 8 p.m. to enjoy the activities. No registration required, and all ages are welcome. Children under the age of 8 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Star Wars Party and Escape Room May 4 in Oakdale

Enjoy a full day of Star Wars-themed activities at Oakdale Library on Saturday, May 4. Beginning at 9:45 a.m., get comfy in the large meeting room for a marathon of the original Star Wars trilogy. Popcorn will be provided. Feel free to bring blankets, pillows and costumes.

The Star Wars Party runs from 12 to 3 p.m. Make Star Wars crafts, run through a Jedi Training Course, take an intergalactic photo, and play “Star Wars: Droid Repair Bay” on Oculus Virtual Reality sets.

Adventurous Jedi’s can also try out a Star Wars Escape Room. Work with friends to sneak into an Imperial Star Destroyer to find the plans to The New Order’s latest secret weapon in 30 minutes or less. The Escape Room is open to all ages, but children under age 12 will need adult supervision. To register for an Escape Room time slot, please call Oakdale Library at 651-730-0504.
