Washington County Library invites creative thinkers and dreamers to come turn their ideas into realities with the brand new Create Space at R.H. Stafford Library in Woodbury, at the grand opening Saturday, January 26 between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A ribbon cutting ceremony will officially open the space at 11 a.m.

The Create Space is a new, flexible-concept work area within R.H. Stafford Library, which includes a creative design station with four iMac computers, two collaborative booths, and four multipurpose tables. Staff will host creative family activities in the Create Space throughout the grand opening.

Visitors can experiment with Adobe’s Character Animator program on two of the iMac computers, or browse other Adobe Creative Cloud programs available for public use on the other iMac stations.

Virtual reality headsets will be set up for people to step into other worlds or dimensions, and families can have fun programming the library’s Bee Bots or designing amazing engineering feats with Magna Tiles in the collaborative booths.

The new Create Space is one example of the way Washington County Library advances its strategic initiatives to spark opportunity, inspire curiosity, and champion innovation through new programs, events, and offerings.
