[ARCHIVED] Job fair concentrates on healthcare positions

Jobseekers and employers at job fair

Washington County Library, in partnership with the Workforce Center, will host a job fair on Tuesday, October 30, from 1 to 3 p.m. at R.H. Stafford Library in Woodbury. This is the third job fair the two organizations have collaborated on, offering a chance for recruiters, employers, and job seekers to connect in person.

The October 30 job fair will focus on opportunities available in the health care industry. Participating employers include:

MDM Rubicon

Bridges/Northstar Behavioral Health

Augustana Care/ Elim Care

Presbyterian Homes

English Rose

Dungarvin

Gillette Children’s

REM/Mentor Network

MN Urology

Allina Care

New Directions

Phoenix Residence

Although the job fair will focus on healthcare professions, many healthcare jobs (such as cooks or dietary aides) do not involve direct patient care.

Job seekers are encouraged to bring a current resume and arrive dressed for an interview. Washington County Library will offer a free headshot photo booth for job seekers interested in getting a new photo taken for their online professional presence, like LinkedIn.
