There’s a famous catchphrase about another notable card that tells you “don’t leave home without it,” and that’s pretty much how we feel about your library card. In fact, we feel so strongly that your library card should always be able to provide you access to all our great materials and digital resources that we offer not one, not two, but three different ways to keep that card by your side.
Classic
We like to think of the good ol’ physical, plastic library card as the classic. It’s a familiar shape, size, and it fits nicely in any wallet or pocket. Why mess with the original? Plus, with our spiffy designs, you can choose a card that reflects your library experience. (It also makes it easier to spot it in a flash amidst the other cards in your collection.)
Mini
This pint-sized powerhouse will tag along anywhere you go, thanks to its durable, reinforced keyring hole and sturdy design. Chances are you might have used your keys to drive your car to the library, so you’re all set with the mini library card keytag riding shotgun. But if you took a different mode of transportation to one of our locations, we’ve heard some forward-thinkers attach the keytag to their book bag or purse so it’s always within reach. You could even string it on a decorative necklace to make your love of Washington County Library a serious fashion statement. (If you do that, will you take a selfie and send it to us?)
Mobile
By far our favorite hack to keep that library card nearby is the use of our mobile app. In the Washington County Library app you can access a digital version of your barcode and scan it just like you would the one on your physical card.
On the first screen of the app, select “My Account”.

Select Log In to your Library Account on the next screen.

Choose View Barcode from the list below Library Account.
And voila! Your barcode appears before your very eyes.

Scan and be happy!
