New this fall, Washington County Library will offer additional Saturday morning and weekday evening storytimes at select branch locations. Storytimes are a great opportunity to connect with your child and lay the foundation they will need to be a successful reader. Washington County Library welcomes babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and families to join in as we talk, sing, read, write, and play together.
In addition to our regular rotation of storytimes, some new additions join the line up:
Hardwood Creek Library in Forest Lake will add a Super Storytime on the third Saturday of the month.
R.H. Stafford Library in Woodbury also added a Super Storytime on select Saturdays this fall.
At Oakdale Library, families can snuggle together in their jammies during Family Pajama Storytime, every third Tuesday evening.
And for our elementary-aged children, a special Star of the North Storytime will take place every second Tuesday evening. The Star of the North honor is awarded to picture books intended for kindergarten through 2nd grade, which promote quality, engaging stories and promote reading for pleasure in school-aged children.
