As part of our April spotlight on the jobs and careers resources available at the library, we wanted to highlight the classes and programs we offer that can help you improve your job search, or just ad new skills to your resume when you go on the job market. This month you can attend: 

LinkedIn for Job Search

Microsoft Excel 2010

April 12, April 19 and April 26, 5:30 p.m. at Hardwood Creek Library

A volunteer instructor will offer a three-part course of the basics of Microsoft Excel 2010. Registration required. 

Make the Most of Google Drive and Google Docs

April 14, 2 p.m. at R.H. Stafford Library

Learn about using the free, online tools contained in Google Drive. You'll find out how to get started with Google's version of documents, spreadsheets, forms, presentations, and more. Share and collaborate with friends, family, and co-workers and access your files from anywhere. Registration required. 

Life Reinvented (Part I and II)

April 16, 9 a.m. at Hardwood Creek Library

Are you considering changing careers? Career assessments can identify a career that's right for you and what you need to do to break into the field of your choice. Taught by Job Service To register, use this link: http://bit.ly/2FGQ2QU.

Basic Microsoft Word

April 17, 5:30 p.m. at Hardwood Creek Library

This course will teach you the basics of Microsoft Word. If you are new to Word or if you just need a refresher, this will be a good introduction to word processing. You will learn the concepts of navigating Word as well as creating and formatting simple documents. Registration required. 

Job Fair

April 24 from 1 to 3 p.m. at R.H. Stafford Library

Join us for a job fair hosted in conjunction with the Washington County WorkForce Center. This event will bring together representatives from a variety of employers from the Washington County area, including manufacturing, retail, transportation, and education, to connect job-seekers with many opportunities.
