In March, Washington County Library held the first round of community engagement meetings for projects at Park Grove, Wildwood and Valley libraries to gather community input on what residents hope to see in new library facilities.
Interested residents have also completed online surveys for the Wildwood and Valley projects. The survey for Park Grove – available here! – will be active through April 8.
In April, residents are invited to a second round of meetings for each project. At these meetings, the architecture firms contracted for each building project will share what they’ve learned through the community engagement process. At Wildwood and Valley, attendees will be invited to give responses to visual imagery that will start to shape the look and feel for each building project.
At Park Grove, participants will be invited to participate in a visioning exercise to help generate ideas of what a new Park Grove Library should offer.
The dates for the April community engagement events are:
- Valley Library – Tuesday, April 10 from 6:30 – 8 p.m. in the Media Center at Afton-Lakeland Elementary School, 475 St. Croix Trail South, Lakeland
- Park Grove Library – Monday, April 16 from 6 – 8 p.m at Park Grove Library, 7900 Hemingway Avenue South, Cottage Grove
- Wildwood Library – Monday, April 23 from 6:30 – 8 p.m. in Room 103 at the District Education Center, 1520 Mahtomedi Avenue
