Washington County Library is asking residents who live near or use the Park Grove, Wildwood, and Valley libraries for their input as the library system moves forward with individual building projects at each of these three locations. Community engagement events will take place in the spring of 2018.
The architecture firms contracted for each building project will evaluate the input and opinions provided by residents to help determine space needs for updates or revisions that will be done as part of the projects. The three separate building projects will each have a set schedule of community engagement events. The first dates for these events are:
Valley Library – Monday, March 12, from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at Afton-Lakeland Elementary School, Media Center, 475 St. Croix Trail South, Lakeland
Wildwood Library – Monday, March 19, from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at the District Education Center, Room 103, 1520 Mahtomedi Avenue, Mahtomedi
Park Grove Library – Tuesday, March 20, from 4 – 7 p.m. at Park Grove Library, 7900 Hemingway Avenue South, Cottage Grove
Members of the public are encouraged to share their thoughts through a quick survey specific to the library of their choosing. The surveys are available at www.WashCoLib.org/Future. Responses to these questions will also be discussed at initial community engagement events.
Washington County Library will share updates as the building projects progress at www.WashCoLib.org/Future. The library will also promote opportunities for feedback, and publicize in-person community engagement events through its Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts as @WashCoLib.
