Ebooks Minnesota is an online ebook collection for all Minnesotans. The collection covers a wide variety of subjects for readers of all ages, and features content from Minnesota's independent publishers, including some of our best literature and nonfiction.
The more than 2,500 titles available in Ebooks Minnesota are available free of charge, and have no return dates or checkout limits, making them a perfect option for the right tech-savvy book club.
You can access titles in Ebooks Minnesota online and through an iOS, Android or Kindle Fire app called BiblioBoard Library.
All of the titles available through Ebooks Minnesota are organized by lists called “curations.” Within each curation, books are sorted by theme, reading level, or subject. You can also browse by categories – history, education, fiction, health and fitness, or more – or do a basic search for a topic of interest.
If you’re accessing the collection in Minnesota, you can browse and check out items without creating an account. But creating an account will give you access to several additional features that can enhance your reading experience.
With an account you can save books or collections as favorites, create bookmarks, add notes, download content to a mobile device, and sync your preferences across devices. Having an account is also also useful if you want to access your books while on vacation – Ebooks Minnesota isn’t available for free outside the state.
Creating an account is simple – you can click this link to go directly to the profile page. You don’t even need your library card number or an email address to register. Easy!
Ebooks Minnesota is a project of the Minnesota Department of Education, State Library Services, and Minitex. The collection was made possible in part by funding from the Minnesota Department of Education through a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services and by Minitex.
