November Highlights banner

Although no one really needs an excuse to cuddle up with a good book, the crisp temperatures of November make it all the more tempting. Not sure what to read next? Browse this collection of great autumnal reads available right now through OverDrive. If you’re not ready to let October go, you can continue celebrating Teen Read Month with our most checked-out young adult titles of the year (so far).

This year also marks the 200th anniversary of the publication of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, a classic horror novel that was, quite literally, conceived on a dark and stormy night. Want to read beyond the novel? We’ve rounded up some great Frankenstein-inspired
books for kids, teens, and adults, on our blog.

Keep reading to check out some of our programming highlights for the month of November!

Library Closed for Holidays

All Washington County Library branches will be closed on Monday, Nov. 12 in recognition of Veterans Day. We’ll also be closed on Thursday, Nov. 22 and Friday, Nov. 23 for Thanksgiving. Hours for associate libraries in Stillwater and Bayport may be different, so be sure to check our calendar.
