Hardwood Creek Library will celebrate a double-digit milestone this month. STEM Saturdays

STEM Saturdays with Science Teacher Rob Ellos

Our libraries will host science teacher Rob Ellos three times in November. Join him at Hardwood Creek and Park Grove libraries to learn more about human space trips to the moon. He'll also visit R.H. Stafford Library for Dinovember, a talk all about dinosaurs (including real dinosaur fossils!) Learn more about these exciting STEM Saturday events.

This seven-week series at Oakdale Library explores the benefits of meditation and how to make it a part of your daily life. You’ll experience simple, yet effective, guided relaxation and meditation techniques to reduce stress, calm your mind, and improve the quality of your life. You are welcome to join this class at any point during the series. Learn more about this special series.

Four Panel Painting

Kids will design and paint a series of four small canvases to be combined to complete a larger image. Basic color principles, painting techniques, and possibly some collage techniques will be used to create fun, colorful, and interesting compositions. Presented by Artistry of Bloomington. Learn more about this artistic opportunity for kids.

Wildwood Library's Annual Book Sale

Check out great deals at the Wildwood Library weekend book sale. This sale includes used library materials and donations from the public. Prices run from $0.10 to $2. Gently used donations of books, CDs, DVDs, etc. are welcome throughout the year. Proceeds from Washington County Library book sales are used to support collections and programming. Learn more about the book sale.

Get Gaming! 

We're excited to announce the rollout of our new video game collection. PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Wii U video games hit select shelves Oct. 30 at Hardwood Creek, Oakdale, Park Grove, and R.H. Stafford libraries. You can browse the shelf or search our catalog online. With more than 100 titles to choose from, it’s easy to find what you want. Get gaming!

Digital Resource of the Month: MN Writes MN Reads

Local authors – indie, self-published, aspiring, and mainstream – can now create eBooks and share them with readers across the state and country using free tools provided by the Washington County Library.
