Washington County Library and Red Balloon Bookshop are proud to present the fall Fierce Reads Minnesota Tour stop with authors Kami Garcia, Marissa Meyer, Emma Mills, and Caleb Roehrig on Thursday, Oct. 6, at 6 p.m. Join us for a panel discussion, Q&A, backlist trivia, and more! This event is free and open to the public, but a signing ticket is required to enter the book signing line. Join us in celebrating local authors at Author Expo 2016 at R.H. Stafford Library in Woodbury. Twenty authors will be available for signings and conversation from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Expo will conclude with featured speaker Kao Kalia Yang at 1 p.m. More info about Author Expo 2016

Washington County Library invites the public to its Maker Fest on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at R.H. Stafford Library in Woodbury. The library-sponsored Maker Fest is a public event where people embracing the do-it-yourself spirit—artists, crafters, performers, tinkerers, technologists, scientists, and more—come together to showcase work of all kinds.
