This month, Washington County Library is finding new ways to connect at a time when our normal ways of being are so disrupted. With our buildings closed and our programs cancelled, staff are developing creative ways to offer our most essential programs and service. Read on to learn more about programs and activities for kids, teens, and adults.

Storytime on Facebook Live

On Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m., we’re hosting live storytimes on our Facebook page! Join Katelyn from Park Grove Library on Tuesdays for an all ages storytime, and Alaina from R.H. Stafford Library on Wednesdays for a baby storytime targeted for ages 0-2 and their caregivers. To receive notifications when we are live, be sure to "like" Washington County Library on Facebook and enable notifications.

Virtual Programs for Adults

We’re in the process of transitioning many of our regular programs like book clubs and Let’s Make Stuff! to virtual meetings. Visit our events calendar to see which programs are moving online and learn how you can participate. We're continuing to add new programs each week, so check back for more.

Weekly Teen Challenge

Our teen librarians have created a series of weekly challenges for teens, almost-teens and teens-at-heart that are being posted on Facebook and Instagram on Monday afternoons. Submit your photos in the comments on Facebook, post and tag @WashCoLib on either platform, or email AskALibrarian@washcolib.libanswers.com with the subject "Teen Challenge." Let’s conquer quarantine boredom and have some fun!
