Park Grove Library was built at its current location on Hemingway Avenue in Cottage Grove in 1984. Over the past several years, Washington County has worked with multiple departments, local community members, and the City of Cottage Grove to plan for the future of the library.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and uncertainty about the outcome of a community center referendum by the City of Cottage Grove, plans to renovate Park Grove Library were paused.
Washington County is continuing to evaluate the future of Park Grove Library. In December 2021, the Washington County Board of Commissioners approved a Capital Improvement Plan that includes “scoping for a major renovation of the Park Grove Library at its current location and implementation of the renovation” in 2025.
