Renters in Washington County who have experienced COVID-19 related income loss may apply for help to pay for current and past due rent and utilities; including gas, electric and water through the federal CARES Act. Residents can apply online, by phone, or with a paper application. There is no application deadline; however, applicants are strongly encouraged to apply as soon as possible to ensure assistance is received timely and before funding runs out. Direct applicants to:
*A combined Application Form (CAF-5223) or ApplyMN application for Emergency Assistance can also be used to apply for CARES Act funding for rent and utilities. This is a great option for people who also need to request help from other public assistance programs, such as cash or food aid.

Homeowners in Washington County who have experienced a reduction in income due to the COVID-19 pandemic may apply for one-time grants of up to $10,000 to help make housing payments.
