The personality of Wildwood Library is starting to show as contractors begin implementing some of the more artistic and colorful details.
Contractors have installed a warm, wood ceiling as well as light fixtures and large windows that let in lots of natural light.
Furniture has been ordered for the children and teen areas! Here’s a snapshot of the vibrant patterns:

These fun colors will be mixed with natural wood tones in the shelving and surfaces. The teen area will have the geometric pattern fabric on the back of seating along the wall to create a fun and sophisticated study and gathering space.
The fireplace will be a focal point for the space. Large tiles have been installed above the fireplace, providing an artistic element while capturing the feel of nature.
Over the next few months, crews will be working on the exterior metal paneling and wood soffit installation. In April, they will also begin exterior work to put in a retention pond and retaining wall. We are getting exciting to see the finished building soon!

Washington County has installed a camera at the Wildwood Library site to show construction progress. The camera will be in place until the library is complete in summer 2020.
