Display boards highlighting plans for the Valley Library expansion and renovation will be on display at the library this week.
The 4,300 square foot library has two meeting rooms – a conference room and a small study room. The central area of the library includes new movable furniture to accommodate large groups and provide flexibility for a variety of activities.
The cheerful children’s area features tiered seating for programs and storytime. The featured decor is a unique circular drop ceiling with the outline of the St. Croix River over the center of the space.
Valley Library’s new home in Lakeland Plaza is located between the current library and the Post Office. Construction on the $1.2 million project is expected to begin in August. The library will remain open throughout construction in its current location.
