On March 19, the Washington County Board of Commissioners held a workshop to receive an update on the status of the Wildwood Library project.
County building services and library staff have completed the design development phase of the project. The cost for the proposed 12,800 square foot library is approximately $6.5 million dollars, and includes features designed to improve long-term energy efficiency and sustainability.
Library staff are also working on plans for how to best serve residents while Wildwood Library is closed for construction.
The board is expected to approve construction documents and open the project for bids this spring. Construction is expected to begin in late summer of 2019.
