The Washington County Board of Commissioners is scheduled to receive a Wildwood Library building project update on Tuesday, October 9 during a regularly scheduled workshop following it full meeting.
Washington County Public Works will present the updates. Slides for this workshop are posted to the County Board website and are available here. Included in these slides (which start on page 118), are the architect’s renderings of what a new Wildwood Library building could look like and how the footprint of the building could be laid out. These renderings are based on input and feedback from staff and that the community provided during Washington County Library community engagement events in March, April, and May of this year.
The renderings are not final plans. The architecture firm will be meeting with Wildwood Library staff on Monday, October 8 to hear their thoughts about these initial designs and layouts. The staff and community engagement events laid a good foundation for the architecture firm to start developing concepts and designs, and further input of the staff who work at the branch will help finesse the plans.
The next step in the Wildwood Library building project will be a final community engagement event to present updated design concepts to patrons and residents. This will take place later this year, but no date has been set yet.
