Smart Travel series kicks off Sept. 12

Washington County Library's Smart Travel series features knowledgeable presenters who will share their tips, tricks, and tidbits about a variety of travel topics: home security, Disney trip planning, exploring Italy, and journeying as a Road Scholar. Smart Travel presentations will take place at each of our branch locations starting in September and running through December. Most presentations last about an hour. Join Gina Gamnis to learn her travel tips and tricks for families planning trip to Disney. Gina is a Washington County Library board member.

Hear from an active Road Scholar traveler with more than a decade of adventures under her belt about adventuring with the not-for-profit organization. Road Scholar’s mission is to inspire adults to learn, discover, and travel. The learning adventures engage expert instructors, provide extraordinary access, and connect people who love to learn.

Impressions of Northern Italy

Hardwood Creek Library, Forest Lake – Oct. 23, from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Learn about exploring the gastronomical wonders of the Piemonte region, discovering charming villages and trails in Cinque Terre, wondering at the scenery of Tuscany, and meeting up with the locals in the Piazza del Campo. This travel talk includes ideas for lodging, money, driving, tour guides in the Dolomites, and Internet service while abroad.
