It’s out with the old and in with the new for the public computers at all Washington County Library locations. Work began in mid-June to replace the old desktop machines and monitors with newer versions for the public to use during library visits. The change in technology also includes an upgrade to the Windows 10 operating system.
In addition to the newer computers, visitors to Washington County Library locations will also notice a big difference in the printing options available. The library is in the process of installing new software and printers/copiers which not only print and copy in color, but also allow users to send in their print jobs remotely.
Users can send print jobs from outside the library in three new ways:
Anything that isn’t claimed by the end of the day will be wiped from the print queue. You don’t need to worry about someone picking up your items by accident.
Washington County Library charges a fee of $0.15 per black and white printed sheet and $0.70 per color printed sheet. Photocopies are $0.10 per copy.
