Around 35 community members participated in the second community engagement meeting for a building study at Valley Library on Tuesday, April 10.
Tim McILwain of HCM Architects, briefly reviewed the findings from the first community engagement event, online surveys, and surveys collected at the library. The major themes of the responses to each survey question were displayed on two boards in the room. There were also two boards on display with photo images of library environments. During the open house, attendees were encouraged to review the major themes and library images on each, then share comments or opinions about the content on each of the boards.
Attendees quickly participated in the review and commenting activity as individuals and in small groups. The architects, Commissioner Gary Kriesel, and staff with Washington County Library and Washington County Building Services were available to engage in conversation with individuals and small groups throughout the evening.
