Building for the Future: Park Grove Library

Posted on: March 26, 2018

[ARCHIVED] Nearly 90 people attend first community engagement meeting

PG Meeting 1-145

More than 90 people visited Park Grove Library on Tuesday, March 20 to offer their ideas about how to building a new library of the future on the site. At the open house event, visitors were invited to write down answers to five questions on posters around the room. Those who could not attend the first meeting can respond to the same questions through an online survey. Victor Pechaty with HGA Architects outlined the community engagement process in a short presentation at the beginning of the open house:

At the next engagement meeting in April, staff with Hammel, Green, and Abrahamson will review community engagement efforts (meetings, print and online surveys) in a brief presentation beginning at 6:15 p.m., and attendees will be invited to participate in a visioning exercise to help generate ideas of what a new Park Grove Library should offer. The next community engagement meeting is planned for Monday, April 16 from 6 – 8 p.m at Park Grove Library, 7900 Hemingway Avenue South. Please RSVP to the event on Facebook for updates.
