Whether you’re considering a career change, job hunting, or just wondering what to be “when you grow up,” Washington County Library has tools, resources, and programs to help you navigate these important life decisions.
Tap into our Job and Career databases and you can explore different careers, search job listings, find information about pay, and get live job coaching or resume writing help. We're specifically highlighting three databases this month:
If in-person information is what you’re after, join us at the job fair on April 24, hosted in partnership by the Washington County Workforce Center and the Washington County Library.
If you aren’t able to make it on April 24, you can still connect with job search help at the Oakdale, Park Grove, and R.H. Stafford libraries by stopping by the Job Corner. These stations are set up to help job seekers get more information about potential employment, as well as use library technology to work on resumes, cover letters, and applications.
Even if employment is years away, it’s never too early to teach little ones about all the many options they have for jobs and careers when they grow up. Our youth services librarians are hosting a variety storytimes to help introduce the concept of jobs and careers to our younger readers.
